More signs of hope
Our young people never cease to amaze me. A couple of readers spotted this story this morning about a middle schooler who showed his school's administrators up. At least this time the school officials didn't make trouble for the kid -- unlike their counterparts elsewhere.

Meanwhile, from across the street from blog central, we hear kids in a classroom counting down the seconds from 10 to zero. Must be the last day of school for them.

Where was that kid when PPS and Whitaker MS needed him?
The old school might still be standing, instead of lying in so much rubble and ruin.
I'm talking about the building, of course, not the Super's office.
