Graduation Day
State Sen. Vicki Walker, my favorite politician in this fair state, says she's dropping out of the Legislature and planning to run for Oregon Secretary of State. "I feel I've plateaued," she says. She has my sympathies; I've felt that way many a night myself.

Great news!
What is the campaign committee name and where do I send the check?

Gordly leaving is a great thing, she is way out of touch with reality...as for Walker i'm not sure what to think right now...could she do a better job then Bradbury as SoS?

I found myself deeply respecting Vicki Walker. Although I may disagree with some of her approach, I never felt her to be dishonest, or an insider. While I might favor a more rightward slant to things, she would be my first choice out of any of the possible candidates. She sure proved herself in my eyes.

Jack, you have real good taste, but not on this one.
Walker is and always will be a nutcase.
She became a legislator to protect her teenage daughter from wet t-shirt contests.
When other legislators get toasted for conflict of interest she pushes legislation mandating stenographic court reporting (Guess what her day job is?)
She's mean and was perfectly happy to have a Republican become Governor to satify her over-sized ego.
Without the World's Worst President she never would have been re-elected to the Senate and she'll be a odball political foot-note like Jason Lee and Kelly Clark.

She brought down Neil Goldschmidt and exposed his whole coterie of crooks for what they are. As for "mean," look at what you just wrote.
