I was once naive enough to think the MSM undertook efforts like this as one of their public responsibilities.

It's a well established fact that legislators represent those who bankroll their campagins, not those who vote for them.
Ever wonder why there's little difference between the two major political parties in this country - Republican and Democrat? Both take money from the same people so why should we expect any difference between the parties?
