I just dont understand what the issue it with part of a stupid program being available on YouTube. Its crappy quality, and its not like people are ignoring dvds or tv programming because of it.
And notice how there werent any major lawsuits until moneybags Google got into the game?
There were no lawsuits, but there was lots of posturing to get ready for them. Sooner or later, this probably would have happened, Google or no Google.

It's definitely sub-VCR quality, but it's still a powerful tool that's gonna get some heavy use in the next election. We've barely scratched its potential.
Both parties need this to work. I hope they can figure it out.

sometimes its nice to have big expensive corporate litigants settle these hard issues.
hopefully, the judgment, like with sony v. universal above, ends up on the right side of history...
