State ethics investigators have reportedly made a preliminary finding of conflict of interest violations by Multnomah County Commissioner Maria Rojo de Steffey involving her husband's employer and a proposed real estate deal. Willy Week has the story here.

Maria R de S should be required to disgorge all the profits her household took in from her involvement, PLUS the fine.
Otherwise, it just looks like a slap on the wrist.

This story will last about as long as any of the other public corruption scandals around here. Which is to say it's already past.

There are more "conflict of interest" scandals that will be forthcoming from PDC. It should be interesting, but like Don said,
