Unreal

Oregon State just beat USC.

In football.

Great game - I was counting down the seconds from halfway through the 3rd quarter. Can you give a football coach tenure?

I was there!!!

Then you witnessed football history. By the way I loved the way the officials stayed away from home field calls, and the replay booth showed complete integrity. They gave USC an honest chance to win and that made it all the better.
OSU did not go conservative and their nerves held up great - right until the freshman punter muffed the snap, picked the ball up and punted it about two yards using the wrong leg. From then on things were tense, although there were still heroic catches, etc... What a game.

The guy who deflected the pass on the last two-point conversion deserves a high-five.

Yeah, Baby!

I'm in Chicago this weekend and had to follow it on my cell phone as every TV set here was tuned to a different game. Evidently there's more than one OSU. They had something kinda cool happen today too.

I was watching with my son, and remembering 1967 when I listened with my dad to the radio when the Beavs beat the #1 ranked USC that had OJ on it.

Was a very eerie deja vue thing.

First time I've experienced a Beaver win being cheered by the Duck fans at Autzen Stadium. Way to go, Beavers!

Painful, painful, painful....

Since September 28, 2002 (a win at OSU) - they've lost four times, and I've been at three of 'em.

Gonna have to ponder what that might mean.

Signed,
USC '95

Kari,
I'd avoid the Sunday NYTimes Sports section. There's a gigantic color picture from the game. Oregon State - getting props from the East Coast!
