Four years on

Hard to believe, but here it is the fourth anniversary of the start of this blog. To everyone who's visited here (and you've done so more than 900,000 times so far), thanks for giving me this outlet to express myself.

Best wishes also to the many other bloggers whose writings inform, uplift, amuse, inspire, and excite me nearly every day. One of the great joys of becoming an avid blogger has been becoming an avid blog reader.

And now, on with the show.

[Spam about foot fungus removed -- JB]

I can only assume Toma is code for Jack and Jack cured this guy's fungus. Huzzah! Jack, my knee's been acting up again. Would you please cure it too?

I can see it now: hordes of sick and injured people shuffling into Irvington, flocking to get a glimpse of Jack and hoping he'll heal them.

OMG, I just made toast and saw Jack's visage in 7 whole grains!

Thanks for being here, Jack!

By the way, why no items about the Jersey budget crisis? It makes Oregon politics look almost... functional. ;-)

Take care, Jack, and here's to many, many more years of staying on top of things!

Many happy returns.

I agree with the person who called this blog a depression lifter. Thanks!

Thanks, Jack (Blogfaddah). But for you and this, I might be leading a normal life. :-)

re: Cynthia's comment - I don't know if I'd use the term "depression lifter", since shining a light on local government boneheadedness often has the reverse effect on me!

However, my humble blog just ticked over it's first year, and I gotta give you props Jack, for posting the "hard issues" that I'm not gonna touch - I have enough stress! You're a daily read for me now and I'm glad you've kept it going. From one former Jersey boy to another (Leonia, around exit 9) congrats!

Way to go Jack. Much success!

Stare at the "4" long enough and you realize that's OHSU's new South Waterfront building on the lower left, pill hill on the upper right, and that triangle traveling up...the tram. Pretty clever, Jack, like much of what you write.
Jersey's loss...
