My wavelength

In the great corporate merry-go-round that FM radio has become, I have found a new location for geezer music. It's at 106.7 here in Portland -- stuff from the '60s and '70s. Nice to hear this material in stereo in the car again, at least for a while.

One of the benefits I've found to living in Sabin is that we can now get KMHD on the house stereo (you can get their station over the net, but the logistics of hooking my computer to the stereo with the set up I have would be daunting). Their Friday blues show is fantastic, and I've learned during the rest of the week that I actually like jazz. Who knew?

Interesting, I just took on a side gig at a local (east of the Cascades) startup low power FM 'community' radio station at 106.7. Hearing all that - refreshing, aeh? - and only moments ago Howlin' Jack.

I've been enjoying KHITS too, it's nice to hear oldies in FM again, and I also enjoy the lack morning DJ's(or any Dj's) and a morning show.

You must also be reaching the younger generation, I was just listening to High Five the local HS College bowl on Channel 10 and they asked what instrument would you be able to play a [rim shot], and the Wilson Student said Drum!
