Arrest made in Lars crank call case
They say they've arrested the guy who was harassing Mr. and Mrs. Lars Larson. If he indeed is the criminal, I hope they throw the book at him. I disagree vehemently with Lars on a lot of things; he's usually little more than a fear-monger. But people who play these kinds of games deserve punishment as well as treatment.

From the Oregonian article:
The seven month investigation found evidence that Harter made calls to the Larsons in 2004 and 2005. Officers monitoring the sites where the telephone calls orignated saw Harter making calls, said Vancouver Detective Jeff Nichols.
The guy sounds like an idiot. It's not like I'm planning any harassing phone calls, but if I was I would certainly not make them from a traceable location, and then, once my calls had been publicized, use those same locations for future calls! Sheesh. Rookies!

And they caught the guy on/above Lars' property?! Sweet Jebus this is gonna be a pathtic defense to follow - if the guy doesn't run first, that is. My bet: the psycho is out of jail in 3 months.
In a way, it's too bad the bad guy isn't dead already, because he's gonna be a threat to the Larsons forever.

Let me clarify - I don't think the bad guy should be killed. But I have a bad feeling that no amount of 'treatment' is going to solve his problem, or stop him from eventually harming someone.

(Sorry)
Thanks
