Acquittals, mistrials for Enron broadband honchos
The jury in the federal criminal trial of several Enron broadband executives on charges of falsely inflating the price of the company's stock has acquitted the defendants on some counts, but failed to reach a verdict on most of the charges. Former Enron communications wiz (and ex-PGE exec) Joseph Hirko of Portland and his co-defendants face a retrial on the counts on which the jury could not reach a verdict after four days of deliberation.
