We're No. 1!

And we love it!

Unfortunately, there will be quite a few more searches like this over the next few weeks.

I've decided I genuinely enjoy hating the Lakers. As much as it pained me to watch Minnesota self destruct last night, I was kind of excited that I would have at least four more games to root against the Lakers. I take immense pleasure in every single one of their losses. And if they happen to lose the Championship, it will be as exciting as though the Blazers had won a Championship.

Basketball in June. ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Agreed, Rod. Faced with a choice between rooting for Rasheed Wallace or for Kobe Bryant, I'd rather weed my lawn -- by hand.

You know, I'm not particularly happy with the NBA. The players are selfish, the owners are selfish and the league is selfish. They are concerned about money and little else.

Furthermore, there is absolutely no consistency in the officiating. For the life of them, the referees can't figure out when to call a travel or an offensive foul.

That being said, I really enjoy basketball. And the NBA is great entertainment. Moreover, I'm glad I like the NBA.

I love that Kobe is a horrible teammate.

I love that Karl and Gary feel the deserve a ring. (After they win a championship they can compare their rings with Lindsay Hunter, who also won with the Lakers)

I love that Rasheed is a complete knucklehead and is always one foul away from completely going psycho.

It's drama, and it's entertaining. Its like watching The Apprentice and rooting against Omarosa. I'm watching the NBA and rooting against LA.

There tends to be this vibe that it's not cool to watch TV. Or its not cool to be a fan of a sport where all the players are selfish assholes. But I've got to be honest, I watch sports for the drama and for entertainment. And for my money, the NBA's got both.
