Here's some legislation that's not all it's cracked up to be.

I saw that Daily Show piece on this issue. As usual, it was really funny

I can only wonder about the scope of the swimsuit exception. Would it fully overtake the intended limitation?

It is reassuring to see a citizen legislature that is not fully consumed by economics debates.

Today's Law.com also had fun with it:

The freedom to show butt cleavage will not be abridged in Louisiana, after all. A bill proposed by state Rep. Derrick Shepherd, D-Marrero, that would outlaw low-riding pants that expose underwear or anything else traditionally below the belt failed to pass the House Tuesday. State Rep. Danny Martiny, R-Kenner, said, "Passing this law will make us the laughingstock of the country." Oops, too late ...
