Denny and me
I just took the "President Match" test over at AOL's Elections 2004 site.
Here is how the candidates and I matched up on the issues that they cover in their survey. The following candidates agreed with me the following percentages of the time:
Kucinich 100%
Kerry 92%
Sharpton 92%
Dean 86%
Edwards 84%
Clark 84%
So if I didn't care whether they could beat W., I guess I should be pulling for Kucinich, Kerry, or Sharpton.
But I do care.
Why trust this "test," anyway? For example, on "Roll Back the Bush Administration Tax Cuts," it states that Kerry and Edwards each "Somewhat Opposes." Opposes a rollback? Is that right?

Maybe I'm the centrist that all the Democrats are trying to appeal to:
Clark 100%
Kerry 99%
Sharpton 98%
Kucinich 94%
Dean 94%
Edwards 92%
Bush 60%

I don't see how it is possible to score above 90% on every Dem in the race and for Bush to score 60%. Something is screwy. My scores:
Kucinich 100
Kerry 96
Sharpton 95
Clark 94
Dean 92
Edwards 86
Bush 6
Edwards got the lowest score of the Dem candidates, which is enough reason for me to support him - more electable, but still solidly Dem!

Sometimes it's nice to get one's assumptions reaffirmed.
Kucinich 100%
Sharpton 96%
Kerry 84%
Dean 83%
Clark 805
Edwards 75%
Bush 6%
ahhhhhh....6%.

ahhh....bush....100%....
edwards...67
kerrey...65
clark...65
dean...57
sharpton...46
kucinich...39
according to this article, the dems are looking to attract me...http://slate.msn.com/id/2095009/
also, did you notice that there wasn't a single question on race in that little test...interesting...

According to the Village Voice, Sharpton is just a foil for the GOP, drawing attention to the problems with the Dem candidates. Like when he asked why there were no minorities in Dean's Camp. Kinda creepy.
I'd post the link, but I'm afraid it would constitute a solicitation.

Kucinich 100%
Sharpton 92%
Kerry 84%
Dean 82%
Clark 79%
Edwards 73%
Bush 3%: New Record!
I challenge anyone to agree with Bush less than 3%.

Sam, I have met your challenge, and I don't think anyone can beat this one:
Kucinich 100%
Sharpton 91%
Kerry 82%
Dean 81%
Clark 75%
Edwards 74%
Bush 0%

Somewhat Opposes Rollbacks: Yes, both Edwards & Kerry believe that the tax cuts for the "wealthy" should be rolled back, but not the provisions that result in middle-class tax relief.

Makes sense. Thanks for that clarification.
