It seems like years since it's been clear

Just before noon today, the first drip fell from an icicle on the south side of our house. Now we're at a balmy 34°F, and the thaw is on. Cold puddles on ice. It's going to take quite a while.

The sounds of ice dripping off the roof is terribly comforting, though. Never thought I would be so happy for it to hit 34 F.
