Minority group speaks out
Gosh. I didn't even know there was an organization of Multnomah County Republicans. Its membership can probably be counted on one hand.
Anyway, unlike their Democratic counterparts, they don't require local candidates to be a member of their party in order to endorse them. And lo and behold, they have endorsed a few local candidates despite the latter's progressive leanings. The endorsement flyer, sent along by an alert reader, is here.

They got this right!
METRO
Withhold votes. In our view METRO is a
burdensome, expensive, additional layer of
government which has produced little benefit to the citizenry.
No candidate earns our support.

Oh and the other day I was walking and I THOUGHT I had spotted one of those rare republicans! So I did a double take and was pulling out my camera to try to capture the amazing moment but lo and behold it was only an abandoned bag of trash caught in the wind...

Wow, I love the Sho endorsement, which describes him as a "man of proven leadership in increasing society’s wealth."
