On a brighter note

You know what? There's real progress being made with the Portland Development Commission.

Now if the mayor could just kick a little tushie over at the Planning Bureau...

I have a bit of a problem with the developer/gentrification oriented definition of "affordable housing" as affordable to those making 80-150 percent of median income.

So we have situations like the one that precipitated an ethics complaint against Mrs. Steffey-or what's happening with mobile home parks all over the region- where people who really need housing are being displaced so developers can provide "affordable housing(TM).

I don't know how they can do it in earnest.
