I'm not a big Tiger fan, but that definitely seemed like a genuine spontaneous show of emotion. He'd been bottling that up for a while.

Anyway, it's nice to see that athletes are human as well. I think sometimes we forget.

Yeah, yeah. I'm as sentimental as the next guy, maybe moreso. And I have a lot of admiration for Tiger Woods. But the layer of syrup on the British Open broadcast was just too sweet to swallow. A nickle for every mention of "emotion" by the commentators? A fortune! Slice it any way you want: Tiger Woods is an industry.

Tiger Woods plays golf a lot like I do, except by the time I'm done, it's usually my caddy who's in tears.
