LOREN PARKS, ROB KREMER & KEVIN MANNIX

ZERO IN ON CLACKAMAS COUNTY

If you thought Super PACs were just for DC politics, think again.  Super PACs and the Tea Party have come to Clackamas County trying to buy this election.

The "Oregon Transformation Project PAC" headed by anti-schools activist Rob Kremer (and funded exclusively by three corporate CEOs who don't live here) just dumped $67,000 more into the campaign of my primary opponent, John Ludlow.  Ludlow has now received over $106,000 (!!) from Kremer's PAC, trying to buy control of the Clackamas County Commission!

No Tea PartyBut it gets worse.

Kevin Mannix (who lives in Salem and lost several campaigns for Governor, Congress, and Attorney General) has also set his sights on Clackamas County.  He's already sent out three factually-challenged newsletters attacking me.

But wait, there's more!

Loren Parks (the sexual hypnotist from Nevada) just dumped $9,700 into Ludlow's campaign through two front groups to foster a Tea Party takeover here.

Onward Oregon recently noted that the "Tea Party is organized and well funded to gain a foothold in Oregon by gaining control of Clackamas County."

These outrageous, unprecedented contributions call into question who John Ludlow would serve as Clackamas County Chair.  Would he look out for the best interests of our county residents -- or outside special interest groups?

Representing Clackamas County in the House for five terms, I've consistently fought and won for our local working families, small businesses, children, seniors, people with disabilities, and veterans.  I've stood up to special interests and Tea Party attacks while protecting our community's most vulnerable residents and the vital services they need.

Now I ask that you stand with me.

We cannot let Tea Party activists dictate the future of Clackamas County.  There is too much at stake to let this election be quietly bought and sold to the highest bidder.

My campaign is fueled by over 520 individual donors, hundreds of endorsers, and dozens of volunteers -- a true grassroots campaign.  I'll be a County Chair who represents and works for all Clackamas County residents - not just the interests of wealthy outside extremists!

HELP US GET OUT THE VOTE!

Ballots will be mailed out in just 8 days and we still need to talk to many voters across our County about my priorities for moving Clackamas County forward!  It is important that we are out on the doors and on the phones talking with voters about why this election is critical and why they need to return their ballots!

We need the volunteer support behind my campaign to get to the finish line on May 15th!

CLICK HERE to join our group of dedicated volunteers!

We're canvassing every Saturday and Sunday until May 15th.  This weekend we'll be launching from our office on Highway 224 in North Clackamas.  Sign up to walk and talk with voters in the area!

Don't want to walk?  We need help making calls too!  We have phonebanks on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings and on the weekend as well.

CLICK HERE to sign up for whichever shift works best for you!

Also please look at your calendars and think about how you can help out for GOTV (Get Out The Vote).  We'll have phonebanking shifts all day everyday once ballots go out and we could really use your help reminding voters to get their ballots in!  Let us know how you can help out during those last few crucial weeks of the Primary Election!

LAWN SIGNS!

This weekend we'll be assembling and delivering our lawn signs. Many of you have requested one or two signs for your yard.  You may pick signs up at our office (6566 SE Lake Road, 97222) or our volunteers will deliver them to you!

If you haven't already put in a request, you can do so on our website -- or send an email to info@electdavehunt.com.

LISTENING AND REBUILDING TRUST!

As I meet with constituents across Clackamas County I hear from folks who are unsure of the County's direction and are frustrated with misplaced priorities.  Before we can move Clackamas County forward, we need to restore people'sTown Hall trust and faith in county government.

It begins with listening.  As Clackamas County Chair, I will work to create a two-way dialogue where residents can share their concerns as well as their ideas for our County.

I've already made the commitment to actively engage citizens by hosting Town Hall Meetings in every city and community across our Countyat convenient times and locations, every year.  I've thoroughly enjoyed the discussions during the last eight months in Boring, Canby, Charbonneau, Estacada, Gladstone, Jennings Lodge, Lake Oswego, Molalla, North Clackamas, Oak Grove, and Wilsonville and I look forward to upcoming Town Halls including:

Wednesday, April 25 @ 1:00 pm

Thursday, April 26 @ 3:30 pm
