Bad news from Hanford (as usual)
They've found evidence of a leak inside one of the double-walled tanks that are storing the nastiest nuke waste at the atom bomb factories at Hanford. These were supposed to be the new foolproof ones, replacing the old single-shell tanks from the '40s, '50s, and '60s that leaked like sieves. The leak report is an unsettling development, but let's face it, the toxic mess at Hanford will never be completely under control, much less cleaned up. We and the kids will just keep throwing billion after billion at it. In 10,000 years it will be only half as bad as it is today.

Would someone please explain how, (in a nuclear power plant), a nuclear reaction produces electricity?
Is it like a big sparkplug 'zzzzap' in your car ... or something?

Whatever. But let's face it, we don't have to face it. Our descendants do. We sold the property 'Earth', took the money and ran ... on to death, and couldn't take it with us, and couldn't stand to leave it there estate without us.

The nuclear reaction produces heat, which then can be used to drive great big ol' steam turbines.

Another liberal media job! These nuclear leaks are providing jobs for Americans.

Supposedly, LFTR's could burn some of the waste. We should be able to buy them from China in a few years since they are doing research Americans won't based on our own research.
