So, subsidizing bikes for low income folks, who will never use the bikes, paid for by folks who cannot afford to, may eventually cause more of us to become low income as well, adding to the numbers of people who won’t use the bikes.
Sorry, was that too many commas or not enough?

If it wasn't for bike-share, china would never have anyone riding a bike...
If the gov'ment really wanted poor folks to ride bikes, just leave them lying around in the neighborhood..

Considering the endless rounds of fare hikes and service cuts at TriMet I think bike share is gonna be more popular than people think. The prospect of streets filled with hordes of wobbly people who haven't ridden a bike in years is...not a totally pleasant one.

Hmmm... has bad management been destroying bus service in order to encourage biking?

There is a great deal of coded racism behind the shift in preference from bus service to light rail/streetcar. Look at all the brochures for mixed use development projects that have gone up over the past few years--how many feature a bus? Very few, if any. How many feature a streetcar? Many more. A transit strategy that prioritizes light rail over the bus system caters to this coded racism, sadly.

All those slinky legs in public view might encourage the masses to quit piling on the food. Is this a creative cllass sort of statement?
I don't know. We pay a lot of taxes to support all kinds of welfare. This is eye-candy welfare, maybe not nearly as evil, fundamentally, as lettiing food stamps pay for ding-dongs.
