Wu quits
But not today -- eventually. When the debt crisis is over.
It's for his children, don't you know.
We always saw Wu as a nut, but a harmless nut. Apparently we were wrong on that latter point.

Based on recent events I'm not sure which is more dangerous......a teen riding MAX alone at might in a high crime area, or allowing a teen to be-friend a polititian.

Don't ever take a photo in a tiger suit if you want to stay in politics.

Will Mayor Adams resign the next time he's accused of hebephelia?
It seems to be "two strikes and yer out" for Democrats in Oregon.

Now here's a Congressman who will sell his vote for anything he can get.
It sure would be funny for him to end up being a swing vote on some deal.

The sad truth is the voters of the 1st District re-elected him twice after being informed he was a sexual predator. My attitude is, the voters asked for him knowing that, they got him, and so now they deserve him for the duration. Then let him run for re-election again. Maybe they'll choose a little wiser in the future.

He's holding out for a better deal.
If we wait for the debt-crisis to be resolved (BTW raising the credit card limit is not a solution), he'll be in there forever.

About 10 years ago Congressman Wu was seen walking by the now defunct Cindy's Bookstore, and was asked by the Oregonian's cub reporter Lilly Von Schtupp,is it true what they say about you politicians?....Wu then said, let's step out of the heat and get some (Heir) conditioning as he had a hot dim sum in his pocket. Lilly followed Wu into a very dark room. Moments later Von Schtupp heard Wu's zipper and he offered Lilly his warm dim sum.... Oh it's true, it's true, it's so true!
As they both exited the dark chamber both were smiling as Wu was heading down to place a bet on the 7th race at Belmont at the local betting parlor and Von Schtupp had to file her story at the "O".

Boycat: You seem to be unaware that in most of western Oregon voters will vote for almost anyone with a (D) behind their name on a ballot.

It is a complete mystery to me why David Wu is forced to resign but Sam Adams is still in office. What is the difference between a middle-aged man having a sexual encounter with an 18 year old girl or an 18 year old boy? Seems like a double standard.

Wu's vote on the budget is meaningless. He's just positioning for another month's salary, benefits, etc. *yawn*

How much is that special election going to cost Oregonians, btw?

Ralph, Although local voters vote for, Wu and creepy, the Congress can kick him out.
Ben, Steve and Mojo: I think you are totally right, and now would be the time for investigators to watch him close... But they wont. He will surface in a few years in a plumb job and there will be the usual mutterings.

I lived in Wu's district from 2006 to 2010. I admit that I voted for him in the general, even though I hated it. I voted in the primary for David Robinson last year and when Wu won, I made plans to move out of his district so I wouldn't be forced to vote for the Republican opponent.
I'm glad he's leaving. He basically had to. After all, Pelosi forced the Weiner to resign and Wu's transgressions are far worse. There was no way that the Democratic Party was going to allow Wu to stay after all the stuff that's come out since election day.
Good riddance. He was one of the worst members of Congress I've ever had represent me. I hope more people jump into the race for his seat. Not too excited about the two declared candidates.

Wu's colleagues abandoned him. Adams colleagues declared that the city needs his leadership. #TooBigToFail

I have had to endure this clown for more years than I care to think about. Why people kept voting him into orifice has been a continuing mystery to me; my dog can do a better job. I really figured that after his "Klingons in the White House" speech, folks would buy a clue - but no, they voted for him again! It really is true: if there's a (D) next to the name, that's all that matters.

So sexing your friend's 18 year old daughter at Thanksgiving prompted Wu's resignation from Congress, but porking an 18 year old you're "mentoring" (and lying about it) is fine if he's a slut?
I'm so confused. I need somebody to diagram when it's ok to have sex on the job. I'm thinking about running for local office. Just to get some action.

The whole "drug moment thing" was a crock to later cover for his pedophilia and possible rape. Now there is a reason for his behavior right? Cause he was on drugs and stuff. Sure that fills the bill. A perfect excuse to molest a young girl - I was on drugs! Yea that's it on drugs!
Notice how quick the hot potato was tossed by the dems. Was it racist? Wiener was given months and tons of media attention. Queen Nancy said" about wiener "it's up to him I can't do nothing about it!" when it came to Wu it was so long charley. Is it cause he is Chinese? Or maybe an immigrant? How can this be?

Pants On Fire, as Daniel Patrick Moynihan said, "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts." To wit: Weiner resigned on June 16, less than three weeks after the story broke. And Pelosi had called for his resignation on June 10. And Weiner was accused of, well, being stupid, I guess, well Wu is accused of committing a violent attack.
