Let me tell you, people, it's been only 10 days on this diet and already I am sick to death of the Lean Cuisines. Last night I downed six or eight beef pot roast "comfort classics" and I still wasn't full. Tom's been telling me to try his "nothing but gumbo and sauerkraut for a week" program, but it's way too gassy. I think I'm going to have to break down and go skim or soy on my vanilla lattes, or maybe limit them to four a day.
The hundred-business-days piece in The Oregonian was nice enough. Made me look like such an energetic guy. They don't see the toll that it takes, behind the scenes. I'm burning money down at the Barefoot Sage trying to keep myself together.
The whole Ranny-Danny scratch fight is pretty funny. Meow! It's supposed to be about the cell phone tax, but the subtext is the police and fire retirement fund. I think D.'s got pension envy, if you know what I mean.
So here we are, Memorial Day weekend. Time to rest up before all the Rose Festival hoopla. Maybe I'll take in a ballgame over at PGE Park; there are a lot of good seats available. And then maybe I'll just head on down to Tyrone Creek and commune with nature.
