The cardinal doesn't work here any more

After decades of purposeful delays, obfuscation, and outright lies, the pedophiles in Roman collars are being forced to give up some evidence in a Los Angeles lawsuit. And it must be pretty bad, because all of a sudden some of the big hats are skittering away like cockroaches when a light is turned on.

The lawsuit itself settled many years ago. Apparently this disclosure is a result of the LA Archdioses being forced to live up to the terms of their promise to disclose all of the dirt behind the allegations in the lawsuit. Kudos to the attorneys who held their feet to the fire and forced this to happen, as well as the victims who had the courage to stand up to these bullies. This is really important because it's getting all of the information out there just as if this had gone through a full blown trial, and I'm sure that means a lot to the victims who need their story to see the light of day. Most importantly this disclosure resulted in a Cardinal in the "Holy" Roman Catholic Church being relieved of his duties, and my bet is that this may be one of the very few times that has happened in Church history.

Apparently this is the first time a cardinal has been relieved of his duties in the United States.
