Ballot rundown from a smart blogger

We've followed Alas, a Blog for years. Always good stuff there, especially the original comics. And like us, the author has posted his choices in the upcoming elections, here. We disagree with some of it, of course, but it's definitely worth a gander.

Party line voting? Boring :)

Boring? A guy like Buehler is a Republican for a reason. I don't know what the reason is, but whatever it is, it doesn't resonate with me, so I'm voting against him despite his apparent qualifications.

Nice shout out to my "overly fancy, poorly designed" website there. Guilty as charged.

There is a lot of talk in the blogs about casting meaningless protest votes.

Instead of casting meaningless votes, please vote for the Oregon Progressive Party candidate, when available. The party needs to have at least one of its statewide candidates (President, Secretary of State, Attorney General, or Treasurer) achieve 1% of the vote in the election in order for the Oregon Progressive Party to maintain its status as a party and have ballot access in the future.

So that you can nominate people like Jefferson Smith for office? Nuh-uh.

Wow some bizzare rationale there.
No thanks anyway.

...so I'm voting against him despite his apparent qualifications.

Apparently, you don't know why...

I do.
