"So real, in fact, that William Hanshumaker, a Ph.D in marine education, and a member of the “Oregon Sea Grant Faculty” at the nearby Hatfield Marine Science Center, in Newport, has been investigating the “boxes” for the past week."

Although the sound that seems to proceed these events is bothersome. For years I've heard this strange buzzer-like sound, usually in the evenings or on weekends. And I don't know the origin. But what's really odd is that for some reason, the clothes in the laundry room are suddenly dry! Really. I figure it must be some kind of sporadic microwave time continuum type of event or something.
It is 2012, so all bets are off. One thing is for sure, is that if this is really something unknown and doesn't fit current knowledge, there would be denial and derision to anyone saying otherwise.
And I thought I knew every nook and cranny on the Oregon Coast.
But to find "Bray's Point" I admit I had to revert to Google maps. And oddly enough, "Admiral Charlie Bray" (who happens to be the chain saw carved mascot for ONE beach house rental 2 miles South of Waldport) leads to the source of the UFO story.
The truth is out there...as are those that fall for these tall tales.
Nice beach house. Must cost a bundle to keep up and rented.

These mysterious boxes have been showing up on beaches everywhere for years! But, uh, there's only one photo... Uh-huh.

If you have a couple of hours to kill this has the explanation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAaUBXP9Kpc Beware: a tinfoil hat might be appropriate.
By the way, why hasn't the suspect been named in the Astoria shooting the other day?
