Arrived in Portland this weekend, bombing stuff by Tuesday. Nice.

Our goofy mayor says, "it's not sustainable." Boy that really conveys a lot of adult like conviction. Not.
The mayor made the right decision not seek re-election. Not even progressives can take this much longer.

A pyromaniac greeter and a tweaker with a turtle tattoo on his nose. There goes the neighborhood.
Posted by Drewbob | November 9, 2011 7:16 PM
That's not turtle -- it's one of those Breathe-Right nostril stretchy strips for when you have a cold. http://www.breatheright.com/
No... they only have four legs, not six. Hmmm, must be some arthropod facehugger with bad taste.

Why not Bob Clark?
The progressives are getting the results of everything they ever wanted from government at every level.

I am listening to the scanner right now and a someone just OD-ed at the camp. The cops are giving him CPR until medics arrive. I think this mess will be gone by tomorrow.

They were all real 'cute' down there until they decided to get nasty and everyone realized they were simply just a nuisance. Wonder what the 'end game' is going to be? Hint...it won't be the suddon reformation of the US banking system or 'Fat Cats' emptying their wallets. That was never their cause to begin with.

Thank god the city will finally do something and all crime, mental illness, drug abuse and homelessness will disappear from downtown.
Posted by reader | November 10, 2011 7:36 AM
It's okay for them to Occupy, until they're labeled as "unsustainable." That's the ultimate unforgivable sin around here. Now they've got to go!

Time for the kids to dig a bit deeper into what being a Republic means. History can be great teacher.

This did illustrate Portland in a Petri Dish. All of of our problems concentrated in one area close and convenient to the Police instead of spread all over the city. I say keep it. Call it District 99%.
Posted by Tom | November 10, 2011 8:33 AM
I called them pinheads once, the praise was too high. Here is a link to the 99% clowns in Denver where they are 'electing' a four legged dog as the leader of thier movement. All these people did was show just how stupid a portion of the general populus truly is.

Perhaps it's time for the SEIU and other unions that have financially supported the occupation and attempted to co-opt the movement for their own political gain, to fess up and help undo this mess. How about offering up a union hall or two to house and feed this monster?
Posted by everyone knew her as nancy | November 10, 2011 9:57 AM
I'm starting to think that the occupy camps are a good idea. It appears that a lot of useless scum are attracted to this camp which makes it fairly easy for the police to pick them up. Maybe install a couple of video cameras with some facial feature software and the police can just sit at their desk until a warrant spits out. Then drive over to the occupy camp and arrest the scumbag. Beats having to drive around looking for them.

The city is finally giving them the boot. They have until midnight Saturday night to vamoose.
