The sad truth is the voters of the 1st District re-elected him twice after being informed he was a sexual predator. My attitude is, the voters asked for him knowing that, they got him, and so now they deserve him for the duration. Then let him run for re-election again. It is a complete mystery to me why David Wu is forced to resign but Sam Adams is still in office. What is the difference between a middle-aged man having a sexual encounter with an 18 year old girl or an 18 year old boy? Seems like a double standard.

Ben, Steve and Mojo: I think you are totally right, and now would be the time for investigators to watch him close... But they wont. He will surface in a few years in a plumb job and there will be the usual mutterings.

I lived in Wu's district from 2006 to 2010. I admit that I voted for him in the general, even though I hated it. I voted in the primary for David Robinson last year and when Wu won, I made plans to move out of his district so I wouldn't be forced to vote for the Republican opponent.

I'm glad he's leaving. He basically had to. After all, Pelosi forced the Weiner to resign and Wu's transgressions are far worse. There was no way that the Democratic Party was going to allow Wu to stay after all the stuff that's come out since election day.

Good riddance. He was one of the worst members of Congress I've ever had represent me. I hope more people jump into the race for his seat. Not too excited about the two declared candidates.

I have had to endure this clown for more years than I care to think about. Why people kept voting him into orifice has been a continuing mystery to me; my dog can do a better job.
