Many years ago, long before the internet existed, I thought about creating a "bureaucrats' confessional;" something that would be set up just like a Catholic confessional, where bureaucrats could come to pass along their guilt secrets, and receive absolution.
Obviously, the internet makes my original idea obsolete, but the term, "Bureaucrats' Confessional" might made a good name for a website that serves the same purpose.
Then, in a couple of years, we could sell it to some internet giant for billions of dollars, if we're not already in jail on some trumped up criminal charges.
I think WikiLeaks, as I understand it, is set up to publish pretty much every kind of thing. So the infrastructure is there. We just need a source or two. Volunteers?
I'd be happy to see this type of thing locally, but I must say that the peculiar thing about local corruption is that it all just happens out in the open and no one reacts (from the MSM, to the public, to govt auditors, to the attorney general).
The shenanagins of developer contributions to officials, followed by sweet deals through the PDC, isn't even concealed. It's all documented in the local paper. And it isn't small potatos corruption either, but millions of dollars.
I've seen that acronym MSM in that context elsewhere but I don't know the meaning. Google doesn't have any explanation that fits. I doubt it means DMSO2 here!
Willie Week has a few good diggers, if they have the time. But, the "everything is for the best in the best of all possible worlds" collective delusion always wins. As long as the beer and pot are good, who cares, aeh??
persistent rumors has it that local hacks have collected a treasure trove of files on PPB cops, as well as their personnel files to soon be dumped in WikiLeaks-style with intent to embarrass some recent decisions by the authorities that were told repeatedly by concerned citizens not to do so. So, I would say when the Big Dump comes, we all need to man our computers and pile it on the PPB, City Hall and whoever gets caught with this Big Dumping. Happy Dumping!!!
A Dec.2008 memo has been leaked, in which FOX News D.C. bureau boss Sammon ordered on-air 'news' persons to ALWAYS LIE that global climate chaos is questioned and unproven, whereas the established and vetted truth is that climate chaos is increasingly destablized, massively ecologically lethal, and caused by continuing human industrial processes, activities, natural resource depredations and emitted pollution. Of course since then, Oregon's FOX-affiliated 'news' broadcasting LIARS has perpetrated the fraud and harm deceits of that public false-information, as LIARS was so ordered and complicit in the conspiracy, and denying accredited science and scientists his (personal got-greedy) access to public airwaves.
Just to freshly remind applicants for franchise '-leaks' branding, the mission purpose is to raise suspicions of each other among co-conspirators, in order to impair the communications within the group needed to conduct the secret planning and antisocial powerlusting conspiracy. So none may assume a partner in crimes has 'got his back,' and each should suspect everyone has got the memo exposing them.
"... the idea is that increasing the porousness of the conspiracy’s information system will impede its functioning, that the conspiracy will turn against itself in self-defense, clamping down on its own information flows in ways that will then impede its own cognitive function. You destroy the conspiracy, in other words, by making it so paranoid of itself that it can no longer conspire"
... as explained HERE.

I prefer sunlight over fear.
But I try and live as if everybody could see (or would see)everything I do.

MSM = Main Stream Media
Posted by Nonny Mouse | December 15, 2010 11:36 AM
In this context "the main stream media" would be mainly the Oregonian, the local TV news, and to a lesser extent the Willy Week.
We have slim picking here, and none of them employ journalists bright/experienced enough to ferret out the details of local corruption.

bojackleaks has a certain how-you-say? franchise 'brand' sounding name, coming as it does on the heels of today's FOXleaks:
FOXLEAKS: Fox boss ordered staff to cast doubt on climate science, December 15, 2010, by Ben Dimiero
