More details and the lowdown on the sea turtle torchings:
Is BP Burning Endangered Sea Turtles Alive?
(with Videos)
Why BP may be trying to destroy the evidence by burning it.

Lies and innuendo, there is no evidence or photos of these turtles getting burned. I am not a fan of BP, but spreading rumors like this don’t help anybody. This is another smear agenda from the environmental zealots. They want us to get rid of all petroleum products. Unfortunately they didn’t learn anything in college like physics or the law of thermal dynamics so they really believe you can run you life on a 50 sq. ft solar panel on your roof. They support any measure to rid this country of using petroleum. Do you really want cap and trade? If we implement that and get the inflation that is going to happen with our outrageous deficit we will become what Portland planners want, a copy of Europe, but a much poorer one. Get used to living in a 300 sq. ft. apartment and riding your bike everywhere in all kinds of weather.

BP Blocks Attempt to Save Endangered Sea Turtles from Oil Spill

Death by fire in the gulf
So-called burn boxes are torching oil from the water's surface at the sacrifice of turtles, crabs, sea slugs and other sea life.

"Other reports corroborate Captain Ellis' claims." -- says FoxNews
Ellis said most of the turtles he saw were Kemps Ridley turtles, a critically endangered species. Harming or killing one would bring stiff civil and criminal penalties and fines of up to $50,000 against BP.

Mojo, those are all just facts. They don't stand up against our dedication to our Way of Life, as so eloquently articulated by Mr. Benton above.

Show me the photos, not stock photos of turtles. I haven't seen any. Even Bigfoot and UFO believers have some photos. I would concede that in a burning operation some animals are victims but not of the magnitude or scale the doom seers are talking about.

We've spent decades preparing and implementing a responsible wolf plan in the Northern Rockies. Lot's of data to show they bring balance to the ecosystem. After the previous administration let things unravel, we hoped Salazar would reverse the killing onset. He sold us out for a scientifically flawed distribution recovery model set up by USDFW. Now the wolves are being killed in their dens illegally and strychnine is being used in meat left along trails killing domestic animals. What an unnecessary outcome of a regal animal.

I agree with John Benton's concession that you have to burn sea turtles in order to not live in a 300 sq. ft. apartment. Until Fox News confirmed this I knew it was another media hoax.
The turtles are probably European bound anyway to go on the dole.

I just read this on FOX:
"Tony Hayward Confined to Live in 300 Sq Ft Home with John Benton--Rescue Efforts Thwarted by Ridley Turtles"
I can't find any photos which would prove this. Ideas?

Hate to say it but burning some animals very well might save more animals then it kills. Just might impact some species more then others. Pretty much damned if you do and damned if you don't situation.

And maybe it will just save British Petroleum some money. *Opa!*

"People say that because we're a big rich oil company that we don't care about the unimportant sea turtles. It's not true. We care very deeply about the unimportant sea turtles."
