He's supposedly on his way here for Travis Outlaw, Steve Blake, and money.
Sheesh, I would have much preferred Tyrus Thomas. Camby's pushing 36 years old. But he is a monster rebounder when he's healthy. And the departure of Outlaw and Blake is addition by subtraction.

If you think Brandon's nose is out of joint now, wait til this goes down.
Oh I guarantee they ran this buy Brandon, before making the trade.
I know Roy and Outlaw are good friends, but they both had to realize Outlaw wouldn't be here next season. His contract is expiring, and there are just two many good players on the Blazers right now. He needs to go somewhere he can play a lot of minutes and score a lot of points. Portland isn't that place.
Frankly, I think it's going to be very exciting to watch Outlaw become an All-Star and lead the Clippers to the NBA Finals.
Perfect. Best move that could be made for this season and beyond. Camby gives us a true center for this year and since his contract expires, will be gone for next year when Oden and Joel come back. And we get rid of a player with the lowest basketball IQ in the league plus another very inconsistent player who tends to choke.
They are going to miss Blake's outside shooting, which will further hurt any inside game the Blazers have. One of the few who can be consistent game-to-game.
Camby is an NBA bad boy like many of the others on the Nuggets. If they do it they will be holding their collective noses with their fingers crossed. It's a major band aid type thing if it goes down. He's 36 years old and the intent would be to get us into the playoffs with the hope that Oden is ready to roll again next year. If this is real the Blazers should go for it keeping in mind that it might not work out. We are bleeding to death in the paint and he would fill that gap quite nicely.
Errr....Clippers...not Nuggets. Also it sounds like he's more of a family man now so maybe the character thing isn't such a big deal. Plus there's nothing wrong with having a bad ass with attitude on your side when the going gets rough during the playoffs.
Looks like it's real. We have a good shot at the playoffs now. The deciding factor will be how Camby feels about it all. He was just sort of shipped over here like a piece of meat against his will and may not be in a mood to give it his all. We'll see.

Not sure I'd be celebrating Blake's departure quite yet. He's perhaps the only guard on the roster who can play contentedly without the ball.

Apparently not. BRoy said he was stunned to learn of the trade after it happened when his agent texted him and asked him what he thought.
Brandon was like, "Dude. Wait, what?"

Kevin,
Camby is one of the class guys in NBA. This is a great trade.
