I truly understand the importance of trade and partnerships as they pertain to Oregon.
That said, how can one justify trips like these that manifest in selling a few bottles of wine and other Northwest products?
I love how Trammy departs the country any time there is any recall or affair news. The man is mentally unstable and reminds me of my niece does the whole "blah blah blah" thing while covering her ears.
Too funny.

Man, this guy sure does love blowing thru the travel budget too look at bike racks, I think. How big is the entourage this time?
Seeing the deal he is negotiating with MP this makes me feel real good about him drumming up biz for Portland.

Scary thought 2:
"The China trip also included sightseeing at the Temple of Heaven and a lot of political flesh-pressing."

It's sort of a perennial political chestnut that When you're facing trouble at home you want to be out of town, cutting an international figure.
This says less about Adams' ideology or duty to office and more about his determination to beat the recall. The guy plays for keeps, so we'll see how serious Portland voters really are about kicking him out.

facing trouble at home
Wishful thinking. The recall effort looks like it's DOA, just a bunch of wing-nuts. Meanwhile, the MLS plan and the convention center hotel are on the fast track.

If there's any breaking news about Scam Adams while he is out of the country, get ready for a deluge of blog hits from various posh hotels in Taiwan.

I have missed the Mayor Creepy minions shilling their comments on this blog, always entertaining.... I am looking forward to the next performance by Storm Large at Creepy's going away party...

For everyone that would like to see Sam Adams voted out of office please remember:
Even if you don't like Jason Wurstler:
sign the petition
Even if you think the process will fail:
sign the petition
Even if you think the process has been taken over by Republicans:
sign the petition
Even if you think, "maybe he isn't so bad":
sign the petition
Even if the Recallsamadams.com website requires you to register:
sign the petition
Even if Storm Large tells you not to:
sign the petition.
Even if you think that a recall election will be a waste of taxpayer money:
sign the petition.
There is a lot of chit chat on this and other blogs regarding all of these issues and they don't have anything to do with getting Sam recalled. Please, everyone who wants to get rid of Sam sign the petition.

The city council just voted to rename 39th. I think that there'll be a lot of recall signatures to gather on 39th.

Thanks, Jack, for reminding everyone this recall has nothing to do with how straight men get weird thinking about gay men having sex.

The folks organizing the petition have a real good shot of snatchinmg defeat from the jaws of victory.
I think right now they have about a 30 - 70 chance of getting a sufficient number of signatures collected on time.

The age of consent in Taiwan is 16 according to:
www.avert.org
I guess we look prudish compared to the rest of the world. (or overprotective, depending on your viewpoint).
I won't sign the recall petition unless we have a replacement Mayoral candidate who can stand up to little lord Paulson.

how straight men get weird thinking about gay men having sex.
I get really weird when I think about bribery and extortion.

I get weird when I think about a middle aged City Commissioner waiting two weeks after somebody's 18th birthday to screw them. After attending the party hosted by their parents.
