Just don't do it

Five hundred layoffs at Nike headquarters in Beaverton (well, not really Beaverton, because they control the state, and being part of Beaverton costs more in taxes...).

Sounds like Nikes sustainability campaign was not as sustainable as some of us had been led to believe. Recycle your old sneakers and sell your Nike stock....before it plummets in value.

I think this had more to do with the sustainability of the U.S. housing market than anything else.

Ouch. First Freightliner, and then the consolidation and layoffs at Intel up in Hillsboro, and now this. But streetcars and a new stadium in Portland will save everything, right?

Oh big deal they weren't green jobs anyway.

More room for all those biotech jobs!

OMG!!!! This could mean that the UO football team will only have 25 different sets of uniforms this fall!!

Clearly, this calls for an immediate repeal of Oregon's confiscatory minimum corporate tax.

Once they fall the Nike campus can be reused for the development of the green creative class eco-high rise live/work Disneyland we have all been visioneering for so long. At last $mart growth utopia! Global warming RIP.
