That is a truly bizarre response. I've had a generally favorable impression of Fritz until now, but that leaves me shaking my head.

The idea that Adams's lies about sex are like Clinton's is nonsense, if for no other reason than the fact that Adams had Clinton's example to learn from (not to mention the more-relevant and more-recent example of former Detroit mayor Kwame Kirkpatrick -- who is doing time in the big house now for his lies ... over sex).

Unlike Clinton, Adams has never been the target of a viciously partisan witch hunt that tried to make a mountain out of a molehill (Whitewater) and, when that ran dry, seized on the sex thing as a way to sidetrack the administration. The two cases simply aren't comparable.

So, yes, the fact that he knowingly and repeatedly lied and persuaded his paramour to lie as well is extremely relevant, Ms. Fritz. If I were one of your constituents I would seriously question your judgment henceforth, because you are displaying a tolerance for lying and a serious gap in your understanding of the role of the press.

This lie was the key to the outcome of the mayoral election. If Adams had told the truth about Breedlove, he wouldn't be mayor. He stole it.

Fritz: that was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. The audio was challenging, so I'm not sure what I heard, but it sounded like "move along, people, nothing to see."

When I heard Amanda's statement yesterday, I tried to reason why she made the statement at the time she did. Timing was terrible if she really meant what she said.

Then, why was she defending Adams so early when some facts hadn't been established, even the questioning of Adams for the first time hadn't even occurred, nor any investigation?

Was it to acquire some chits because at that immediate time she thought Adams had a 65% chance of escaping? Is she already playing the chit-game like Leonard does? Or is this her moral basis exposed?

I yearn for a newly elected official that would think of their term lasting only 4 years, and not thinking how they may strategize to continue another term. Do the right thing.

Having clsoely watched Fritz' manouverings when she was a "neighborhood activist", I am not the slightestbit surprised about her reaction.

Amanda is deathly afraid that politicians would be judged on their honestly and called to account for their lies.

Amanda has a remarkable record for telling lies to advance her pet projects. Accuracy and truth have no chance when they may be in the way of Amanda accomplishing one of her goals. Anybody who objects, questions, or gets in the way gets steamrolled.

And if you think thats just me, you really ought to ask Marty Susek about Amanda's amazing ability to produce papers with other folk's alleged signatures on them, that the other folks hve never seen or signed.

If Adams doesn't resign (and there are rumors he might tonight) and he faces a recall we should make it a recall times 3...recall Adams, Leonard, and Fritz!
