World Cup pool final scores

Since none of our entrants had either Italy or France to make it to the championship match, we can now announce the final scores in our World Cup soccer pool:

TRP - 13
Bean - 13
Gordon G. - 11
Amanda - 11
Steve C. - 11
Travis - 11
Martin - 10
Pankleb - 10
Quyen - 10
Bog - 9
David - 9
jarvisd - 9
Craig - 9
Drew S. - 9
Eric - 8
Alan DeW. - 8
Gordon H. - 8
Jyah - 8
hilsy - 7
tjtassin - 7
Jon W. - 7
George - 7
beerrick - 7
Brown - 6
Rubin - 5
Jeff - 4
Swankette - 4
Soccernut - 3

The ties will be settled tomorrow. For top spot, TRP said there will be four goals in the championship match (not counting any penalty kick shootout); Bean said there will be five. Closer to the actual total wins the prize -- a couple of beverages on me.

If only I'd known that Amanda was such a soccer pundit I might have given her my vote :)

Zidane just got a penalty kick in. Whoo-hoo!
I am SO sorry I didn't get my chart in on time!

Amanda is also a DUCK. Myself being part-Duck, part-Viking, part whatever-the-heck Lewis & Clark is, I urged Aamnda to play down her Duck credentials. Didn't want to alienate the Beaver vote.

Well, that's what I get for copying the Teacher's work. Congrats TRP.

Gosh, what an honor! Thanks, Bog, for running this. And thanks to the people who ridiculed my pre-tourney picks in Bog's 5/31 preview. I appreciate those of you who entered the pool....seriously, way more than those who didn't.

What to drink? I have some time to think about it.

Congrats to TRP. See you for your prize. Everyone else, better luck at Euro '08.
