This appears to have been misinformation. Not nefarious, just wrong. I actually went down there and couldn't find anything. I also called several radio stations and no one had heard a thing, though they were very curious as to whether it was legit...
Perhaps the spies aren't as well placed as you'd hoped? Or did I miss the meeting? I'm DYING to know....

I think my informant must have had it wrong. So far I've heard nothing. He also said the Humane Society was going to announce an expansion project this morning. Plus there's the whole school money summit thing now that Grampy's back from Taiwan. Maybe the media's just too busy.

I heard that the city would purchase PGE, and instead of decrease rates, would increase them. The extra money would be used for schools and to close that "Farkle" gap in Erik Sten's smile.

OPB ran a story on the press thingie in SoWhat. It was a media tour of the entire development. They played some audio from Homer himself. Among other things, he declared there will be 250 families (his word...families) in SoWhat by the end of the year. He also declared that "God willing" (again his words) there will be a tram by the end of the year as well. To that end, there will be a planning session next Friday to figure out how to go forward with it, followed by public comment. Sounds like Sam and Homer are still planning on getting the thing built.
