This one's a keeper

One of the best Christmas gifts I got in '03 was the Delbert McClinton album Room to Breathe. This thing puts a smile on my face every time I play it. I don't know much about Delbert, but I know what I like. If you know someone who would enjoy a big old taste of some down-home country blues, give them this. They gon' love ya fo' it.

Almost makes me like Texas again.

Good call. I believe that I have just about every record that Delbert has made. He defies categorization. Blues, country, rock, straight. He does it all in spades.

Don Imus turned me on with Delbert, then I heard him live at a ZOO concert a few years ago.

The thing that was evident quickly, was PDX "blues"and "reds" were up and dancing together because you couldn't sit down at a "Delbert concert"!

And isn't that what it's all about? Happy Thanksgiving to the reds and the blues.

If you ever get a chance to see Delbert live, definately go. Have seen him live at least 10 times and it get better every time. His band is awesome.
